NRDRV’s Volunteer Program connects suitable volunteers with practical regional recovery and restoration projects across the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. Volunteers may assist with activities such as property clean-up, landscaping, painting, garden and land restoration, environmental recovery, outdoor maintenance, foreshore works, flood recovery support, and general community assistance.

Who Can Volunteer?
NRDRV welcomes volunteers from all walks of life—whether you’re a traveller, Working Holiday visa holder, backpacker, or simply someone with a community spirit. Everyone is invited to take part in restoration projects across the Northern Rivers region.
For travelling volunteers, accommodation within the Northern Rivers area will be arranged. However, it is subject to availability.

What Can You Expect from the Program?

A key part of the program is acquainting volunteers and extending their goodwill to communities in need of help. NRDRV may also assist eligible volunteers with accommodation options in relaxed Northern Rivers locations. This is subject to availability, suitability, project location, timing, and program capacity
